Resist Time

Yesterday I went with a group of friends to a rubber stamping convention here in NE Ohio. We had a great time! We left with sore feet, lighter wallets, heavy bags and new ideas! We even met Shelly (blog: http://stampwithshelly.blogspot.com/ a.k.a. papermoon04 on SCS). I have been a big fan of her work for a while and it was a thrill to meet her in person!

There were more than 60 vendors at this show - talk about making your head spin!!! I like to go - yes, because of the new rubber *snort* but also the ideas - either new ones or ones that I have not used in a while. Today’s card was inspired by the latter…

On all of the images on this card I used crayon resist - it’s a fun, easy technique:
Start with Glossy Paper
Stamp your image (allow dry time!)
Color with a white crayon the areas that you want to stay white
Sponge on your color
Wipe with a paper towel

The layout for this card was inspired by today's SCS - Try a New Technique Challenge - Two Way Open Card found here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=343815

I’m off to bake a coconut cake! I hope you are having a great day!
