Here is my interpretation of the sketch:
Delicate Blossom:
The flower was embossed three times on white card stock and then water colored using reinkers. The green background is an office tag that was colored with Shabby Shutters Distressed Ink. I love the pink, green and white color combination.
Hope you are finding time to get inky!

Irrestistible Rose
The Watermark Resist technique is not one that I do very often although I do love the end result.
Irresistible Rose:
All of the dye based inks were sponged on after the Ranger Watermark Resist ink dried. The frame was made from Labels One Spellbinders die.
I hope you are having a fabulous Monday. Me - I am recovering from cooking all day and having my Husband’s family over for dinner - translation - I am having a wonderful lazy day…
Thanks for stopping in!

Happy Father's Day
Don’t know about you but I struggle making Man cards - probably because most of my stamps are not very manly. I wanted to make a Father’s day card for my Father in Law. He is a very special man - he’s warm, funny, giving and he’s always made me feel welcome!
Happy Father’s Day Tom!
This is as close as I come to a one layer card - it was all I could do to NOT cut out the car - because I really wanted to - you know pop it up on dimensional.
Hope you are having a Happy Father’s Day with the men in your life!
KAT
The Stuff:
Stamps - Men of Wisdom, Maple Tree Paintings (all Innovative Stamp Creations)
Ink - Vintage Photo, Peeled Paint, Aged Mahogany, Shabby Shutters Distressed Ink (Ranger); Sepia Archival Ink (Ranger); Soft Sky, Baja Breeze (SU)
Paper - White, Kraft, Choc Chip (SU)
Other - Markers, Prismacolor pencils, Glaze Pen (Sakura)

Hibiscus in Orange
Today how about some sewing, waxed linen thread, cuttlebugging, nesties and vellum…
Hibiscus in Orange:
I really like how cards turn out when you don’t have everything perfectly lined up - I seems to be drawn more and more to these types of layouts.
A few of the details - the Hibiscus was stamped on Vellum and colored with colored pencils on the back side. Metallic rub on was used on the black frame to make the embossing pop.
We’ve had days and days of rain that we really needed but now I am ready for the sun to shine again!
Happy creating to you!

The Stuff:

Grunge Paper Roses
I wanted to share what I was playing with over the weekend - Grunge Paper.
When I seen the grunge paper Rose on Tim Holtz’s site about a month ago and I was green with envy - How did he do that? He taught it at a class and a very nice lady named Liz Walters attended and she spent a TON of time creating great direction on how to make this Grungy beauty - and she SHARED - THANK YOU LIZ - you are the BEST!
Grunge Roses:
The base of each of the flowers was colored with Distressed Inks. On most of them I stamped a background image using Archival ink (it’s waterproof). After the roses were cut and formed I sprayed them with mists.
Well what’s a girl to do with Grunge Roses - I need a 25th Wedding Anniversary card for my brother and best friend so…
Grunge Rose Anniversary:
Side view so that you can see the dimension:
The background is wrinkle free distress, the blue background flowers are Distressed Pearls. Don’t you just love Tim’s idea-ology hardware!!!
In case you are wondering I timed my last Rose (the 6th one) and it took me 40 minutes start to finish. The hardest one to make was the little one - it’s bugger getting those little pieces to go the way you want them to.
I hope you like the Grunge Roses!

Framed Hibiscus
Today’s card is made with beautiful Hibiscus Flower images from ISC.
Framed Hibiscus:
The flower and stems were stamped using Brilliance ink and embossed, then water colored. The frame was cut from vanilla cardstock and then I used rub on metallics to add the colors. The background behind the Hibiscus is a page from an old book.
Thanks for visiting today!

Honor Duty & Valor
Sorry I am late getting the patriotic mini book to you - my laptop had a virus and it took my DH a couple of days to fix it for me (isn’t he a sweetie).
I love how this mini booked turned out. The paper and the Memories of Patriotism stamp sheet go perfectly together. This was my first time playing with Memory Capsules from Ranger. All the inner pages were made from large office tags that I folded in different ways to make pockets.
Honor, Duty & Valor - cover:
Memory Capsule - see the nation map and stars - these were made from shrinky dink, the Eagle was water colored:
1st Pair of pages - the moments tap pulls out to add a picture:
2nd Pair of pages - faux metal technique for the dog tags:
Close up:
3td Pair of Pages - micro glass beads on nation map and star, white stars are white shrinky dink:
Close Up:

Pink Roses
Today is the beginning of the June (can you believe it’s June already???) stamp release from Innovative Stamp Creations. I will have something new for you to see every day. From now until June 15th you can use code: 61509 to get 10% off your order at ISC.
Pink Roses:
This is from the new Sketch of Roses stamp sheet. The rose was inked with Brilliance ink and then water colored. What you can’t see in the picture is that I added Perfect Pearls to the “fold” of the rose petals. Ranger Watermark ink was used to stamp the smaller rose image on the pink background panel.
